A program has frozen on the Virtual Office

This article suggests what to do if it looks like a application (RDB/Outlook/etc) in your virtual office has crashed.

Usually, an unresponsive program is due to a hidden window or dialogue box that you need to address before going back to other windows.

  1. Press and hold the Alt key on your keyboard, tap the Tab key.

  2. Currently open windows will be shown on your desktop.

  3. Keep tapping the Tab key to move through them.

  4. If you see a popup box relating to the application which is frozen, stop tapping Tab when reaching it and respond to the popup.

  5. The program should now be responsive as normal.

Should no hidden popup be found, or responding to one found does not make the application responsive again, fully signing out of your Virtual Office session and signing back in should clear the application.

If that cannot be done or the problem persists, please contact us via the MyAccess portal and reference the title of this article and provide the VO Username of the affected user.
