How are Updates Done?

  • We check you have met the Pre-requisites – if you haven’t then you must do so and rebook.

  • You will need to have backed up the database for the starting time of your Upgrade.

  • We run a tool that checks for customisation and this may require development before the update continues.

  • RDB ProNet Updates are done on the SQL Database.

  • Updated Client Installers for RDB ProNet, CV Reader Monitor and RDB Sync are installed. The old versions should be removed and the new versions installed. We have ‘batch file’ to speed this process for you.

  • You (the client) are required to do the update of the PC’s whilst we do the server.

  • There may also be specific updated components for the server such as the Indexer – these are noted per Install.

Requirements

  • I will arrange to have a backup ready for the arranged start time of the upgrade.

  • I have read and understood the documentation on the new features and accept that my business is ready to update.

  • ProNet 5.0 and above requires the latest version of .Net Framework 4.5.2 on all Computers running the ProNet Client or Server Components.

  • ProNet 5.0 and above requires SQL Server 2008 or later.

  • Rdb Outlook Sync V5 and above requires Office 2007 or later.

  • I understand that there will be downtime during the update and that it may take at least 2 hours.

  • I have an account with local Windows Administrator rights for all of my desktop computers to run the client installs, or all of my users have local Windows Administrator on their computers.

  • I understand that someone will need to be available for contact at the start and during the upgrade booking. It will be assumed this will be the contact making the booking, if otherwise, please state contact details in the additional information box below. If the designated contact(s) cannot be reached for the upgrade booking, the upgrade may be cancelled and need to be rebooked.
