The errors above and display issues in Access RDB are commonly caused by a corrupted Settings folder. To reset this folder, please follow the below steps in the Virtual Office Users or Other Environment Users as appropriate.
Virtual Office Users
Please note that the following steps will irreversibly clear your own RDB desktop application visual display customisations, such as extra columns shown in grid views for example, however sometimes it is necessary to clear these settings if they have become corrupt and are causing visual issues in the software. No database data, including user login profiles, will be affected.
Close Access RDB.
Double-click the Reset-RDB icon on your Virtual Office desktop.
Note the warning, then click OK.
If unsure of the effect of running the app, click No to cancel the action, otherwise click Yes to proceed.
Reopen Access RDB.
Other Environment Users
To rename the folder you will need to follow the steps below:
Close Access RDB.
Click the Start Menu.
Type %appdata% and press Enter.
Double-click First Choice Software folder.
Double-click RDB folder.
Rename the folder called Settings.
Reopen Access RDB.
๐ Note:: If all users are on a terminal server the above will need to be done on the terminal server when all users have ended their RDB Sessions. If you are unable to access the folder, please speak to your IT team.
โ ๏ธ Warning: By resetting the settings folder you might see other settings in Access RDB reset as well e.g. any additional fields might disappear from an Index but you can select it through the field chooser again.
