Set up User

The RDB mobile app requires a hosted service that we host to run, if you speak to your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager they can assist with obtaining a license. If you are sure that an RDB Mobile license has been procured, please follow the steps below.

If you are on the Virtual office ensure you are set to use Windows Authentication in RDB. Follow the instructions below to do this:

  1. Click Options then click Manager and then click User maintenance.

  2. Double-click the user.

  3. Tick the Windows Authentication checkbox.

  4. Save and Close.

Install RDB Mobile

  1. Open the Apple store on the device.

  2. Search RDB Mobile.

  3. Click Get.

Under Settings select RDB Mobile and fill in the Connections settings the user would have been provided with. If the user does not have the connection settings, please contact us via the MyAccess portal and reference the title of this article.

Once the information is filled in open the RDB mobile application.

RDB User Licence

When you log in, it will take up an RDB User licence. If you are not logged into RDB when using RDB Mobile this won’t be an issue. You will be able to access both as long as there are available RDB licences. An error will pop up stating that All licences are in use if none are available.
