Exporting Applicants or Contacts

This article explains how to use the facility to export Applicant or Contact records into CSV files that exists within Access RDB.

There are two types of export plugins which can be offered for no additional charge. The exports available are the Applicant and Contact exports.

The Applicant export exports the following

  • First name.

  • Last name.

  • Email address.

  • Building.

  • Street.

  • District.

  • City.

  • County.

  • Postcode.


The contact export exports the following

  • First Name.

  • Last Name.

  • Email Address.

  • Company.

  • Phone Number.

  • Street Number.

  • City.

  • State.

  • Postcode.

  • Job Title.

If you need to export further information please speak to your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager to pass the request to our professional services team for a quote.

For these Export plugins to be installed please contact us via the MyAccess portal and reference the title of this article, confirming which export is required and to which users it should be assigned.


Once the applicant export plugin is installed the user will need to:

  1. Restart Access RDB.

  2. Create a tag file which will include Applicants.

  3. Click Home and then click Tag file.

  4. Under Mail shot click Applicant.

  5. Select a Mailshot Category and then select or create a New Mailshot Instance.

  6. Check the List of names to confirm that no Applicants need to be removed.

  7. Click Output then click Custom Export.

  8. Click Applicant Export.

  9. Name and Save the CSV file.


Once the Client Contact export plugin is installed the user will need to

  1. Restart Access RDB.

  2. Create a tag file which will include Contacts.

  3. Click Home and then click Tag file.

  4. Under Mail shot click Contacts.

  5. Select a Mailshot Category then select or create a New Mailshot Instance.

  6. Check the List of names to confirm that no Contacts need to be removed.

  7. Click Output then click Custom Export.

  8. Click Contact Export.

  9. Name and Save the CSV file.
