Manage Pop-Up Messages

This article explains how to manage the multiple pop-up messages that don't go away when you dismiss them.

How To Stop Pop-Up messages

Disable the check for messages

  1. Click Options and then click User Preferences.

  2. Click Message.

  3. Clear the Check for new messages every box.

  4. Click Save and Close.


Make It Easier To Dismiss Repeating Messages

  1. Click Options and then click User Preferences.

  2. Click Message.

  3. Lower Mark message read after displaying for to 1 Second or

  4. clear the Mark message read after displaying for box.

  5. Click Save and Close.


Delete Messages In Bulk (from Message Manager)

  1. Click File and then click Message.

  2. Click Inbox from the Mail group on the Explorer Bar (left hand side).

  3. Select the Messages that you want to clear.

  4. Click Delete from the Actions group of the Explorer Bar (left had side) or

  5. select Mark All Read and then Delete All Read..

  6. Close the Message Manager.


Alarm Messages (Reminders) Where Messages Can Be Disabled (Not Enabled)

  • Alarms can be set to remind Consultants / Users of events (e.g. Interviews).

  • They can be created when linked to Diary Events via the Event Type Editor.

  • And finally Alarm messages can be set up with tasks.
