This article explains what to do when some videos in the help file try to open with Internet Explorer which is no longer supported.
โ
For Example:
In RDB, click on Help and then choose Contents.
Expand the Getting Started and Getting Ready! books.
Choose the Logging On topic.
Click on the video link at the top.
You get a Please Update your browser message as the system attempts to open the YouTube video in an embedded IE page.
โ
Now:
Expand the Let's look at the records and The Main Index books.
Choose The Main Index topic.
Click on the video link at the top.
The video opens in a page in your default browser (Chrome in my case)
Some videos in the help file ignore your default browser setting and try to open in an Internet Explorer window which is no longer supported by You Tube.
There is a workaround - in those areas where the link doesn't work, you can:
Right-click the link to the video and choose properties.
Copy the link that is shown and paste it into your browser address bar.
This will then display the video for you.
๐ Note: This applies to all versions of the RDB Program.
