Reduce the database size

This article explains what to do if: Your database is too big. You are running out of space on db server. The size of your database is growing too large for the disk. you need to shrink your database.

There are a few things you can do to cut down the size of your database.

  1. Install and run the Mailshot Send Clean-up Utility from the RDB Store. Once you have deleted the files your IT team should be able to shrink the database for you. Once installed the MailShot Send Clean-Up Utility is accessed by:

    1. Click Reports and then click Custom Reports.

    2. Double-click Mailshot Send Clean-up Utility and follow the on-screen prompts.

  2. Delete any old records that have not been used - once a record has been used it will have links to other records that will prevent it from being deleted.
